Blogging…Local Market Analysis

Do you write weekly or monthly market analysis pieces on your own blog or website? If so, would you publish them elsewhere for added exposure? If not, would a place to publish with more eyeballs be enticing enough to get you to write them regularly?

From Suzanne Roy:

Hey! Realtor.com® is looking for great REALTOR® bloggers!!

Realtor.com® and one of our News Corp sister companies is looking for a number of REALTORS® across the country who can contribute to a national feature we are developing jointly that will provide updates on housing conditions in 21 of the top U.S. markets. These markets are: Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Cleveland, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, New York, Phoenix, Portland, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, Tampa and Washington, D.C.

These contributors would supply three pieces of content each month that would be featured on the highly visited sister company website:

• A story of approximately 400 words updating the housing market conditions in your metro area.

• Links to listings on Realtor.com® that are representative of the local market that month and photos to go with those links.

• A recommendation on a ‘House of the Month’ that would be featured in a photo slideshow.

In exchange for agreeing to provide monthly content, each contributor will receive a headshot and bio to run in the left rail of the stories, with links to appropriate emails, Realtor.com® content pages and individual web sites.

If you are interested and have a background as a great real estate blogger, email [email protected] and we will provide information on how to apply. The application process will run until June 30.

For the content creators, is this an appealing proposition?

PS: Speaking of real estate market statistics, I’m kind of surprised no one has purchased Altos Research. Seems like a company that either NAR or Move could benefit from.
